Oh Mairi do yae hear the soft whispering ?
All through many nights I’ve been listening.
A soft sad and melancholy sound I hear,
that fills me with a deep foreboding fear.
It comes with the wind that blows at night,
but nothing appears within my anxious sight.
Apprehension brings uneasy thoughts within,
and goose bumps rise high upon my skin.
Oh Mairi do yae hear the soft whispering ?
I wonder if to me it has been beckoning.
It murmurs in a quiet unnerving soliloquy,
an incessant droning in my mind endlessly.
Do you think the dead are calling for me ?
Why wont they let me live alone peacefully?
I dread the coming of darkness every night,
when the moon is masked black out of sight.
Oh Mairi do yae hear the soft whispering ?
I eagerly wait the dawn of every morning.
Oh Bazza you are scared but have no fears,
'tis just a build up of wax inside your ears.

Mairi.
I love that name. I told her so. My daughter's name would have been Mairi, instead of Maura (Moira), if I had known of it
Wonderful to snicker with you again, haven't seen your work in forever. Want me to send you some Q-Tips? They're pretty cheap in California, though I think the shipping would cost me a child, or two. But. . .anything for you, dear Barry.
Blah blah, seeya,

I love it! I see her comment and you made her blush. She is an amazing writer and I love her to death. I can say that because she's already commented and won't see my reaction. Wouldn't want it to go to her head, LOL
Love,
Amera♥

Your poem is very powerful and you've done a nice job here. I'm sure you'll live 1000 years as my daddy.
Love you
