another shower

morning
scant sunlight and
water pelting
rhythmic
thousand tiny drumrolls on my neck

standing motionless
eyes closed under currents

(before you, this all was quick necessity)

as water grows cool
under rhythem I wait

reaching down slowly
hand reaches handle
spinning
rhythem
warmth returns brightly
in a constant flowing flash

just like

when you walk into a room

just like

when you touch my face

just like

life being forced into my body
as if I'd ceased breath

and the water
and I imagine
you are standing in front of me
smiling
breathing

you keep me warm

Author notes

such a muse.

Very beautiful...I adore the way you express yourself..your happiness...how once so simple daily involvements are so meaningful now..it's absolutely great. I'm glad you're in the place you are..

Wow...this is really kind of an eclectic piece, as well as profound. Two very good things indeed!
