Trapped in the chains,
Or trapped in the lies,
The clock winds down,
See how time flies.
The pressure's running,
Too fast, too hot,
Let's show our stuff,
We're on the spot.
Oh, lordy, see,
The problem here,
They're got you tied,
All up in fear.
What's this nonsense?
What's this thing?
It doesn't want more,
Then we can bring.
So let's kick it up,
And kick us out
Of all this darkness,
Gross, and grout.
Let's be on our way,
Not on our own,
'Cause though you're trapped,
You're not alone.
So stop this sadness
Your self-pity, lame.
I'd rather not play,
That petty game.
Sometimes you'll end
Up trapped in chain,
That doesn't mean,
To go insane.
Author notes
This is meant to be read as fast as you can articulate it! Lots of fun!
The quote in the title is from a friend of mine, and if I remember correctly, he was actually yelling it at a video game. I thought it fit well.
