Freedom's Garage

A night… a freedom
so welcome [desired]
for sixteen years
you waited
-for a
    single
piece of
      plastic-

For once you’re on your own
adrenaline rushes like a river
through your veins
and you’re gone
-the dust
      your final
goodbye-

Back arrival, burnt rubber cooled,
until you realize
the end is not in sight
but a simple beginning
while metal crashes with metal
-and the car
      got in a fight
with the door-
and won

Well at least you won. I know from experience there's nothing worse than losing a fight with a door. lol
