A continuation...in no particular order...I've read their work until I wept for the grace of beauty, for the soul they pour into every poem they write. Become familiar with their work; you'll be glad you did. Everyone on this list has inspired me in so many ways. Check out my own list of favorites (highlighted below). You'll see why I stopped where I did. lol.

I will do other lists as I have time, which is very precious these days.

If you'd like to, please leave a name or two in your comment; I'm quite sure there's genius out there I have yet to encounter.

"If you are a poet, you will see clearly that there
is a cloud floating in this sheet of paper.

Without a cloud there will be no water; without water,
the trees cannot grow; and without trees, you cannot make paper.

So the cloud is in here. The existence of this page
is dependent upon the existence of a cloud. Paper
and cloud are so close."

As someone said earlier, this is like being awarded a Pulitzer Prize when it comes from someone I respect not only for her writing, but for her friendship and for her kindness.

I am honored by your recognition, Sweetie. You are one of a kind.

    Thank you....Michael

    Dear Wanda

It is lovely to look out in the dark here and feel mist of the mountains. Inside there is a warm study, click of a clock near Sunday midnight and the pleasure from you that I have not been mist!!!
However, when one looks at my trophy count, well let's say that I do not go in for a lot of contests.
    I, too, am humbled. Ron.

  • Good morning kind lady,
    thank you

  • Thank you so much for including me in this list. It is a GREAT way to start the a.m. as Suzanne has said. I am so humbled Wanda. Thank you. ~Pamela

    Dearest Wanda,
it is a trifle sad that some poets have misunderstood your good intentions by posting this list of accomplished poets. I can see with clarity that you are a warm spirited soul who rather than chooses to blow her own trumpet stands on the stage and says here, let me introduce you to all these other fine voiced instruments, amongst other fine voiced instruments which you may already enjoy listening too.

I understand that you are saying this isn't a definitive list but a list of introductions for others who may not otherwise be introduced. I applaud your efforts to continue the community spirit here at allpoetry. Some of these poets are known and already enjoyed by myself, some are not, I shall bookmark so that when time allows I may be able to read them.

I think your post and praise is justified and useful also to newbies. When I discover a newbie and interact with them I try too suggest poets that I feel they will have an affinity with, otherwise chances are they may not come across them at all.

Keep on doing what you are doing, you do it well, oh there are many poets that I come across that impress me tremendously, the most recent read was by a poet by the name of cake party.

But, like yourself, there are a myriad more, how lucky we are to have so much choice, shame we don't have two keyboards and two pairs of hands at times for I always seem to be behind with my reads despite trying /wanting/wishing to keep up, and reading more than 10,000 poems in two years.

I am honored to be included in such a list of fine poets, Wanda, some of whom are also among my favourites. There are poets on your list I haven't read yet, but I intend to rectify that forthwith.

    Cheers,
    Bill

  • I personally ould never turn down whar appears to be a poem in the form of a list. However, I still believe that the idea of a good poem is purely subjective.
This seems like it was el thought out though. So that is very commendable.

  • I think the compiling of these 2 lists must have consumed most of your valuable free-time. I am certainly overjoyed to be included in such a list, I will definitely have to check out those poets who's name I am not yet familiar with.

    Seems

That we can all have our little list of poets and Favs. Promotion does not hurt but there are many more that do deserve recognition. Tis kinda like listing all the good looking ladies only

I know quite a few of the poets, and I like them, but you're promoting your favorites list. It's cool, nothing wrong with it. I just can't get behind it, y'know?

I'm doing this because I am constantly reading comments about poetry that sucks. These people (& those from Part I) ARE my favorites because they ARE good Poets. This is an easy reference for those who become lost in the quagmire of cutting poems, for those who want to learn from the masters. And no, there's nothing wrong with it. I've been promoting creativity for decades.
