Drearily

Drearily the day draws on
Dulling verses of my song.
My heart is all alone and cold.
The winter skies are getting old -
At this moment, Summer plays
And fills with laughter all her days
For all the world. Yet not for me!
A year of frost is all I see.
Please come, and take my frozen hand
For you can change the snow to sand.
Loneliness can only end
When melted away by the warmth of a friend.

    Very true, you need a friend to feel warm and comforted and as beautiful as the snow is, the sun is always welcome after a full winter.
