The world, so silent, slowly dies
Not a sound touches the skies.
Not a whisper, for fear of lies
Not a tear from human eyes.
Why weep? What damage can tears heal?
Tears have no place in a world so real.
So dead! So this is desolation
Faces held in pale vexation
Wondering - what have we done?
Where is the moon? Where is the sun?
When death comes, the pain will cease
War brings only silent peace.

But tears heal, sometimes. Great imagery. Very thoughtful, deep questions.

Tears soothe, not heal. Crying can't undo the past. They might make you feel better, but tears don't change anything in the real world...
