Succubus' Bind

Last night I woke up to a noise,
a voice beside my bed.
Haunting whispers rented the air,
I feared I'd soon be dead.

I tried to move, open my eyes,
struggled with all my might.
But my body was now crippled,
in the blackness of night.

There was a presence that I felt,
that filled my soul with fear.
Perhaps a phantom, or a ghost,
its form was yet unclear.

Creeping closer, scented with hate,
its body now over mine.
The cold breath brushing down my neck,
put shivers down my spine.

Never have I known such evil;
a being that reeks of death.
The bitter taste of fear lingered,
with every passing breath.

So I channeled all of my will,
to my heart, soul, and mind.
Freed myself from its grip,
escaping from Succubus' bind.
