First the book,
by Dr. Suess came,
then they made up
a crazy game.
Yurtle turtles hung
from trees
in Suess like
fantasy.
Tail to tail
the turtles clung,
until they hit
the bottom rung.
Whenever it's
a turtle I see,
it brings back
this memory.

Not sure there's any form per se...

This is a very sweet childlike poem about turtles. I also enjoyed the Suess book and read it to my children. I am not familiar with the game. Thanks for entering the contest.

I've never read Dr Sueess, or at least only by reference elsewhere so I don't 'get him'
I'm not sure that two references to the aforementioned is quite kosher...I mean either it is suess-like or it isn't, if you have to mention him to the reader have you accomplished what you set out to do?
The logic (is there any in Suess?) escapes me.... I can see turtles and hanging but the sudden introduction of a 'bottom rung' rings false, although it does rhyme. In the end I saw it as a homage to Suess by way of turtles than a nice little poem (which it so easily could have been) about turtles themselves.
It ain't my favourite in the competition so far, but good luck with it anyway. -
