This little frog loves to jump,
fell off a log and he went bump.
On a stick, a place to land
he kicks about and tries to stand.
Lying on his back, no time to lose
watch out now here comes shoes.
Hurry leap along little frog,
not just shoes, here comes a dog.
Try to move, that dog comes quick,
he wants to play, he wants a stick.
Get off that stick, let Fido play,
pretty soon he'll run away.
It came too late for little frog,
if only he'd stayed on that log.
For Fido finally got his stick,
little frog was not so quick.
Now those shoes have guts to show
never watching where they go.
Swish your shoes across the lawn
thanks to you little frog is gone.
Author notes
My inspiration or way of rhyme I got from "Dr. Seuss's Inferno." It's a whole different story though.

Poor froggy, and what a mess. A funny but sad poem. The imagery is right on

Good luck in the contest
