Leaving Everything

Missing image

I try to balance
to remember,
hope ;  prevails

packing everything
that held to my soul
leaving common sense
in a place that lived

walking the line
of love and hate

echoing memories spoke

"He loved you, but he loved her more"

and I tried,

     to move on..

[without my heart]

This was an interesting take on the prompt, but I liked it. I like the way you spaced out the poem. I don't know how it would sound spoken out loud, but it sounds good on paper.
This is my favourite part of the poem:

    'walking the line
    of love and hate

    echoing memories spoke

"He loved you, but he loved her more" '

It clearly presents what I see as the story of the poem.
Good luck and thanks for entering.
