Poor Mr Shuff'allox,
snuck-up upon his socks.
He had to sneak up, up upon them,
to try and put them on!
Mr Shuffallox was old
and so his feet would get quite cold.
His socks were far too bold at night,
they would not learn to hold on tight,
they'd flap around and give such-a fright
to the neighbourhood, once gone midnight.
Yes, such a problem were his socks,
to Mr Shuff'allox,
they wouldn't let him put them on
his socks, kept running from their box.
So He addressed his naughty socks
his silly, silly, naughty socks,
"You silly, daft, and stupid socks,
I'll lock you in your box!"
But they were away,
they were off to play,
such cheeky socks to get their way!
They were cheeky socks,
naughty socks
and naughty socks don't box!
So special were these Shuff'allox socks,
to not stay on, their feet at night,
did not know how, to hold on tight
to their masters feet, in the chilly night.
His right socks darted up and left
and left socks ran down right.
His circling, spinning, darting, skipping,
up-left, down-right naughty,
silly, stupid,socks
were not so very bright!

Funny... reminds me of those darned slipper socks in the hospital, never wanted to stay on my feet.
A very fun read and I wish you luck in the contest

Oh, I agree with NurseChilly, it does seem that the owner of the said socks does not know when to put himself to bed! (nudge nudge, wink wink)

But on the poem, hilarious, you are a crazy man. Where do these ideas come from? Good fun. 3 clappy men for you!

I laughed at this part:
"You silly, daft, and stupid socks,
I'll lock you in your box!"
Poor poor Mr. Shuff'allox!
This was a fun write. If you do make changes let me know so i can come back and see!

Will do! Thank you! If I were you... I'd find your socks and find some glue!

I see a comma splice in line 6, doesn't need the comma.
This is such a fun read, though
You know, I really DON'T normally enjoy rhyme, but you do it with a sense of fun that most don't seem to have, and well, it is obvious you put some effort into it as well.

I have a poem on here, in the dark depths somewhere.. called - Dirty Socks!! but it certainly isn't Dr Suess, nor is it a children's parody friendly piece... I'll have to find the link for you... hahahahahhah
but as for your piece.. it made me giggle from beginning to end
chilly night - i wear bed socks...

hehheheh
Seems like the owner of the said socks, doesn't know when to put his feet to bed???
