the lawless thought of modern man
feisty Misery far, far grander than
the hopeful resolve of happier times
with pleasant faces and better rhymes
now whats left is a gleaming, lusty face
highlighted in the neon of a shadier place
can you hear the sound of the anti-revolution?
can your hear the Earth scream in her pollution?
children crying no escape, hopeless wretches
elderly men in charge, weariness in face etches
its way down to colder hearts, hateful faces
placing ourselves in the darkest of places
tireless punks, your music has no hold, no mind
you do this for gain, not for the 'sake of mankind'
shake your lithe forms at light and dance shows
look at the crowd, their hungry eyes so glow
it is not for the children, nor is it for the Earth,
their eyes show no regret, no sorrow, no worth
can you hear the sound of this anti-evolution?
spiraling down the chain, becoming one with the pollution?
look down at the ground, look up at the Sky,
drop the materialistic ego, let out a sigh
you are becoming the monster of Hate,
Lust, Avarice, the ones you would berate
with chiding tones of wastefulness and Sloth...
but now you're all that's left
and the Earth is what you've got.

^favourite part there. nice rhythm and that's a lovely image of becoming one with pollution. i also like the mention of sins in that fourth stanza.

we always forget the us we are, aren't our masks... this degradation of the human nature and race that we are bringing upon ourselves...this speaks volumes about how we are killing ourselves slowly, we need to act soon if we are to save ourselves.... loved it!
