By my window wishing a day of spring,
clouds gather in the sky turning to grey;
to my dark moods of day comes a feeling.
Snow falls in torrents, a white blanket lay,
by my window watching winter's droll mirth
Birds frown and hide in trees of deep green sleeves
Winds quiet,nigh a whisper on day's berth
I wait weary for this tempest to ease
Snow fast falling on my melancholy
A pall to all cheery moods, wanting gloom
Dust of a season past, an old folly
and the sun distant as night, darkened loom
By my window wishing on dreams other
than white wintry snow and more cold weather

This is a wonderful sonnet that fluidly paints a wonderful picture of you in deep thought, lost by your window. Well done!

Oh,someone has a longing itch for Spring to rush in! I know,me too. Winter is reluctant to leave it seems. This well crafted piece verly oozes clouds of gray and cold overcast sullen moods. Have faith,warmer weather can't be far off now.Even if literally most people feel the Feb.crawling longing for Spring carry over into April.
