Flitting across the open sky,
The firedrake lights the scene.
On one side, Heaven.
The other side, Hell,
Awaiting the moment to fight.
The heated dragon shoots above,
And below, good and evil clash.
A flurry of light, fire and swords
As two worlds take over eachother.
God presides over his "holy" army
And knows He'll win the war.
And He smiles though He sees His angels
Struck down by Satan's swords.
Satan observes his army of demons
And knows he'll lose the war.
And he smiles though his followers die.
He's finally forced God to do wrong.
The dragon above
Watches the play
And lights the path for destruction.
The war of "right"
Creates the wrong.
God has fallen to Satan.

There's not a rhyme scheme to this one.

I enjoyed the positive verses negative in this write. The message is very true, not with just religion, but many other metaphors in life. You did a very good job emotionally with this piece. Thanks for entering!
