sometimes

sometimes
when sadness threatens
my joy
I remember
to look up
instead
of looking down
cause
when I see
our endless sky
those
cotton clouds
are
gentle angels
floating
those
cool blue hues
envelop me
while
mother earth
blows kisses
upon my teary cheeks
reminding me
I'm loved

Such wise words here. It's so important to remember to reach for our higher power when circumstances make us falter. Because no matter what is going on around us, there is always One who loves us unconditionally. And that is who gives us the strength to go on ... and helps us find the joy that was momentarily obscured.

The opening of this sets the stage for the rest of the write. "Sometimes when sadness threatens", like an approaching storm. Then you deliver the best of all that can be from that point on. The last line sums it up while not giving up on the possibility of sadness and disappointment. Picture your reader in an aisle at the drugstore looking for something to cheer up a soul who is down and read this again. Would you make your purchase and move to the check out? I would. RC
