Words and Pen Lines on the Run

Missing image
Words fly out
to pierce the air
then reconsider
sit and stare

Lines fly freely
from the pen
visually meandering
willing art to happen

Words line up
at times in fun
lines escape
just on a run

Not pressured to become
everlasting art
pen lines just a doodle
words a smile from the heart

In a list

Words come alive when answered in kind.

A peacock's tale comes to mind with the doodle. But in black and white, the blood of a writer's pen. "Smile from the heart" my favorite part.
(Have you ever heard a peacock scream -- sounds like a woman mournful and grieving.)

No, PJ have never experienced that sound---but it does
seem in character with the dramatic look of the bird.

It seems the peacock resemblance came from the
slight hestiation, the lines pausing, not sure
where to go, creating the swirls against the
      feathery shape.

Glad you like that line. Gave my heart
      a big grin!

First it is more than a doodle. I doodle, guys with can't, they doodle, this ain't no doodle.

And the poem fits it beautifully, how you saw your drawing, out it into words, each stanza re-shifting the focus, re-defining the drawing. And that is just your own perspective, others would see different things. Would make for a good photo contest, be interesting to see how people would approach their poems.

Keystone, I appreciate how you examine
both the words and the drawing.

Generally I write whatever comes into
my mind each day and then search for
a photo to illustrate. But Photobucket
had been flashing boxes at me,
so I thought it best to make my own again.

Subconsciously, I imagine I was making
light of the lines, the drawing, because
lines can so easily go astray, one messed
up line and it's over! Words can be so
easily lined up with the computer.
Hence, dismissing it as a doodle,
not giving it great importance! And for
      me. a do-over never works---looses the
      freedom of the first.

    Art from the heart,
    is but only art.
    But it's special-
    from the start.

A great write that captures the free spirit of art, and the accidental way masterpieces can come about. It's reminds us that art should be fun, not something that makes unhappy doing it. Words from the heart to me means putting a bit of yourself into everything you write, and to always believe in it.

    Awesome write!

Aha! A ray of Hope shines in....
      Right, a feeling of happiness
      is a great summation
      of a finished piece.
      Always so telling,
      art over-wrought
      or over-worked
      not a picture
      of happiness!

      Thank you, Braith.
