Innocent apprehension entwined with awkward grace;
childlike approach on the verge of abandonment -
singular heartbeat moving forward at a rapid pace
yet a hundred years have passed since her last breath.
Whisps of pristine laughter ominously absent
as golden roads slowly become irretrievable -
maturity a foreboding prospect covered in indecisions.
This path must be walked alone sweet one ...
unforeseen errors in judgement a darkened handshake,
gazes filled with naivety now called to stumbling feet.

The road to maturity is scary and filled with wayward thoughts ... all we can give the youth are guidelines, but they have to follow their own chosen destinies ...

This is beautiful!
Love the opening line "Innocent apprehension entwined with awkward grace" but it is all wonderful!
Well done My pet!

Of course the bigger problem is none of us have yet reached maturity to advise!
