My mother was my best friend,
No matter what happened in life; on her I could depend.
She was always there for her daughters throughout it all,
There to always pick us up each time that we'd fall.
Wiping away tears,
Never showing us her fears.
Hand in hand and side by side,
My mother,five sisters and I.
Six years ago we all faced that dreadful day,
That we lost our best friend and hero in a painful way.
Cancer had taken our mother,
Leaving us with only each other.
Tears fell like rain from our eyes,
There's still times I hear my mothers cries.
She was my hero the day I came to know her as mother,
For a woman who could raise six girls alone is like no other...

Wow!
What a beautiful tribute to your mother. I too lost my mom to cancer but I have no memory of her as I was just a baby. Hold on to those precious memories. Patty
