Chattering legs overcome
Emotions assumably arid
as raindrops brush the angels off
my face

My entire weight is on
the banister,
on the avert of
the staircase

Fragility is bewitching me;
Alluring me under
anew

These stairs,
so close
Claws - declining
as I am unstoppably
crumbling adown

Apologies are no longer a
concern
for things erstwhile completed -
They don't burden anymore
