Parched, ravenous,
I crawl haphazardly
from this forsaken desert
of blasphemed memories,
seeking truth
I once thought
I knew.
Eyes cast low,
mouth trembling murmurs -
suddenly, I feel
a soothing, swirling whirlwind
coming slowly
from the east,
heading south
where my heart abides.
How can I refuse
each essence of the very substance,
the very sustenance
I have sought so fiercely
under forever's molten moon?
How can I deny
this rising flesh,
eternal sunrise
as it reaches
for the lingering light
of love?
I cannot bear
this lonely burden
of beauty
as yet unknown...
