Mistaken Pasts

Secrets revealed at the darkest of times
I can't pretend to laugh at your petty shrine.
Takes a while for me to remember your name
And I had forgotten the laughter and fame.
The deeds you have done- are you proud of them still?
'Cause with one mistake, they all went downhill.
I understand that it's perfect this way
To stand by your grave and pretend it's okay.

Madness surrounds the darkest of space.
Stars are filled up as you bowed in disgrace.
Where had you gone wrong- was it when you were crying?
Was it through tears, when you were constantly lying?
The grounds won't give in to the weight of my heart
I watch it fade and blew it apart.....

Author notes

I was supposed to have been independently reading in class... but I decided to write this instead.

Was there any meaning to this poem in your eyes?
