What hides under the table?
a simple bump or two,
when you don't expect it
a bump is there for you.
Be careful of the bump
it can really hurt,
this isn't just a warning
it's more like an alert.
An alert to the dangers
of a powerful bump,
right on the noggin
resulting in a lump.
Watch out for tables
some will get you good,
if you must reach under one
don't get up as fast as you would.
Underneath the table
awaits a horrible doom,
I'd sneak away carefully
and hide in your room.
Don't let it get you
it's time to outsmart,
a bump on the head
could cause you to fart.

I found humor in it at the end of the poem.
What inspired me to write this poem was when I bumped my head while reaching for something underneath the table.
It wasn't what I saw that made me want to write this poem. It was more of what I felt that inspired my poem.

yes it is quite funny but painful i certainly know how you feel i went down the steps just 7 i made 3 but the fourth was a lulu i slipped in a puddle all the steps were wet both legs in the air and body right after landed on the bottem three steps and the concrete at the botton bruising a kidney and spinal damage my only regret is there was no one out there to laugh because i sure wasn't i was crying this happened yesterday morning and i do hurt hey i be better in no time thanks for entering

Oh what can I say! lol This is refreshing and funny, especially the last line. The poem snuck up on me much like the corner of that table because I wasn't expecting it.
