My totem ~
a beautiful butterfly sparkling;
she speaks terrifying truths
to my soul, such sheer honesty
engulfed in the radiant adornment
immersed in rays of love exploding hues,
enveloping my being with chromatic awareness
complete, whole, absolute oneness omniscience
bathed in warmth glowing on and on,
senses heightened to encompass all that is...
the heat from my belly begins rising upward
until the regurgitation of the Peyote enlightens further;
the entire cosmos and every color shoots forth from me,
and, eventually as I settle, crosslegged with arms folded,
I see my gorgeous totem,
at least for this trip,
again.

a good piece to go with the picture prompt - good use of language, which is great to see for it is quite rare at times with people's mad rush to enter contests. i like too the presentation of the poem, i think that is important to poetry. i wouldn't mind a trip myself.

From the beginning this piece had such a glowing intensity... Clever descriptions, weaving a picture all its own. Going beyond the psychedelic realm of perception's gate - you give beauty to each visual embrace, every low and every high.

And I could outline so much here - but these lines.... were breathtaking.
