Dreamscapes

I had another dream last night
This one much worse than the last
It wasn't that you didn't love me
But that those feelings had passed

They passed onto another man
you didn't want me to know
you told me he was your favourite
That was a devastating blow

I couldn't handle it anymore
I had to find a way out
I forced myself to wake up
from what this nightmare was about

The feelings in my stomach sank
and I felt like I wanted to die
But the love of you overpowered that
And wouldn't even let me cry

I gathered myself in a sleepy haze
and I got my pen and paper out
I wrote down how I felt of this
and what that nightmare was about

And just like any other time
When i'm feeling blue
I take the most comfort in
