Enumeration of the times
I crept and grieved in silence
and fear of your awakening...

like incisions that forever scarred.

They say you have to feel the words. I think I just caressed some fine ones. Still it is sad that this subject must be written about. For it only grows in silence.

It does indeed. Abuse is something that never goes away. That is why it must be stopped before it can begin. Good luck in the contest.

This is a definite gold winner in my book hun. I bow in awe at your amazing talent. This is phenomenal and I mean that. That first stanza just reaches out and grabs you from the get-go. Marvelous imagery and the pace of the poem slinks through gracefully. Such a creative display you have offered here.
