Leather covered album
my fingerprints etched in dust
black pages smelling faintly of time
still pure in color
not faded with sun.
images unrecalled.
The pages are warm from hibernation
as I turn them.
Images, black and white, burst out
in colorful memories.
A summer day filled with laughter
laying in the grass watching clouds.
Saturday at the movies
a first kiss.
Cold lemonade on the front porch.
Lips red from popsicles from
the Good Humor truck.
Yesterday, for a moment, is now
until the book closes
is put back on the shelf
to await rebirth.
