Genesis

Drops of ancestral imperatives
swirl gallantly,
seeking fulfillment on journeys
dictated since time immemorial.

Protogenic potential nestles
in a safe harbor buoyed
by natural instinct,
tempered by love’s grace.

Signaling nature’s intricacies,
each propagation follows
a complex dance
of differentiation and dimension.

His nose, my eyes captured
in microscopic precision;
blossoming into the living
manifestation of our abiding love.

The miracle develops;
not that this single infant
is perfection in miniature
but, given its journey, any child is.

    My favourite lines are:

    The miracle develops;

      Thank you for taking the time to read and comment on this poem. As you know, this is a very personal topic for me right now. Everything is progressing smoothly although Little Bit does have days and nights confused. Liz
