Forsaken Love

Upon silken sheets dare we lay
Like lovers whose hands do stray
With lips that crave passions kiss
And hearts that bare a single wish

To long for love, and have it naught
For our love forsaken, Least we be caught
In Kings bed which thy claim thy own
We have found a secret home

Letters passed between servents hand
A love the courts would never understand
To lay with thee and not love thee
Is as asking to be consumed by misery

By night alone shall I come to thee
And by night, we are both set free
In gardens of stars and moonlight
We hold one another ever so tight

To dance, as lovers do in the grand hall
As if we were in some Honored ball
Escaping what they have deemed Unforgiven
To free the love we covet deep within

For my head the gallows could gladly take
Before I would see thy heart break
By morning I shall place thee in thy lovers bed
A soft kiss placed upon thy sleeping head

Then I shall take my place among the servents hall
And wait for thy King and lovers beckoning call
To gaze upon they with longing and distant eyes
Till our love of love brings forth my demise
