I held my angel and whispered good-bye
Who knew that I would finally die
By her side she begged me to stay
Can't believe I walked away
She kissed my lips with tears in her eyes
Swore in a dream she had seen my demise
I promised her I would return once more
Before I walked out our bedroom door
To the battle I rode with much haste
Her kiss upon my lips, I could taste
Tears I couldn't shake from my mind
As our lands I left far behind
The battle raged like a storm around me
She was all that I could see
Draped in sheets of silk and satin
I cursed my love for battle again
I kissed my blade named for her
And with that gave my horse a spur
Into the fray, I rode to settle the score
So I could be home with her once more
I never seen the arrow that pierced my heart
Nor how my whole life started to fall apart
The world spun around me in a silent display
To her, My thoughts could not but help stray
Blood stained lips whispered I love you
As a blades point run me through
I closed my eyes with a heart full of dread
For never again would I lay in my lovers bed.

I love the last part =D I am really not into the whole damsel and knight fiasco, but this is still cute with a good story and it's put simply with little details instead of specifics which works out well because it keeps the focus ^.^
