The Flu

Feeling absolutely crap,
brains are slow and full of sap.

Cold shivers go through my spine,
just yesterday I was feeling fine.
Now I lay in my bed,
nose runny, eyes red.

Gah! I hate this stupid cold,
makes me feel all to old.
Can't think or talk,
laying still unable to walk.

Truly, deeply I am hoping,
that someone would bring me doping.
That this virus will kill,
which makes me feel so very ill.

I now to you bid a weak farewell
and continue to suffer in my private hell.

Exactly how I feel... except it's spelled "flu" not "flue." "flue" is something to do with a fireplace/chimney.

Thanks....sometimes it shows that one is not a native speaker.

And great if you enjoyed it...the poem...not the flu, no one enjoys the flu. Wishing you a fast recovery.
