In that one moment
in the gap of time
a slit is made, for you
and you take it
if you don't you
would die.
A simple thing
to hear and do,
but to pull a fragment
of time along with you
with your soul
and know you are doing
the right thing.
And then it's over
that one millisecond
and you didn't even need
to think about it
it's instinct
Breathe!

"in that one millisecond"
in an 'instinct'
thoughtful poem, enjoyed, thanks!

Excellent take on the prompt...Like where you tok this..
All the best!

This is quite good, especially seeing how it's all about a breath... I like the deeper implications and imagery in this.
"and you didn't even need
to think about it
it's instinct" - these lines sound a little too preachy for my taste. I enjoyed the rest of it very much though
Thanks for entering.
