Encouraging words, with warm winds are heard,
casting us out of the shade.
So I accepted a new haircut
stepped out of the dark rut
onto the pristine garden that's been laid.
Giggle-ling river now, once where shivered thou,
trickling down, reflecting the grain.
So I kicked off my shoes
jumped in with clear muse
and drank up the nectar of new rain.
Splashing forth, serving up delightful new course,
vegetation sprouts with glee.
So I dug in my elbows
to impassion that which grows
and relished in the bounty to be.

I enjoyed reading this, and the thoughts you expressed were certainly mindful of spring. You have a nice rhyme patern, which I liked a lot, though I thought some of the rhymes were a bit forced. Thanks so much for entering this contest.
Best wishes,

Ooooh. So pretty! I wanna jump right in too! And I love the first new grass that comes up after the winter rains... =] Refreshing.
