Remember that time we skinny dipped
the warm summer water carressing our skin
the happiness we felt
that just came from within
Or that time that we pulled that prank
on Mrs Pitt
the look on her face when we laughed
"full of wit"
Remember the night we graduated
and stayed out way past dawn
and our parents thought we ran
"we were gone"
I remember your birthday
like it was yesterday
you looked so beautiful
with your hair up that way
you drank so much, then felt lost
and confused
ran to the bedroom, one by one
you got used
They left you there crying
and they just didnt see
you slowly were dying
too tired to speak
I remember you laying there
in your small wooden box
your hair flowing down to your waist
your skin it was pale, and your lips
they were plumb
but now your gone
because we were dumb
I hope you forgive me
for convincing you
to go to that party
the end, we never knew

Memories good and bad are what shapes us. Hopefully we can learn from the lessons we incur as we create those same memories.
