''writer's block''
searching my mind's allocated shelf
sitting quiescent, swirling thoughts incessant;
to my thoughts i implore, wring something from thyself;
the night is evanescent!
sun's retiring light, star's bleak light, incipient twilight
sifting the myriad thoughts of my mind
restlessly still, shirt's ruffled frill, hand clutching quill..
i muttered silently; ah the thought's grind!
spinning erratic imagination, i bid the pen's point to its destination;
edge of frustration, verge of vexation, brink of irritation.
