No girls allowed

climbing trees and running barefoot through the woods
mutilated dolls and muddy clothes
huge bugs that hide in closets
this is your life, this is who you are
wrestling anyone who dares to take you
rude, crude, and proud of it
the fun filled childhood of the average boy
"NO GIRLS ALLOWED" on every treehouse
you'll never give this up, never change...
but curses on this pathetic soul
for this child was born to one day be a lady

Author notes

yes, this is about tomboys and yes i am a tomboy and proud of it. i hate that now guys don't really want to spend time with girls unless they fancy 'em. so guys, stop growing up!

    Thoughtprovoking

It's unfortunate for females to be categorized as something LesS than they are. The strength thing has been idealized since time began. All you can do is build better than male counterparts. Look into molecular biology and Build cells to kill disease cells. Cells that cause harm to healthy cells. Look at the picture you\we want, devise a plan to accomplish the goal, then the "Tomboy" can no longer be denied and You can accomplish what others "men, boys" only dream of accomplishing.

I loved this poem! I was a tomboy myself... times change.. I guess that I grew out of it. But it was always fun being the girl to ruin everything for them by being just that... a girl! Nicely done! Thanks so much for sharing. *sonya*

Hey this is really great actually I like it a lot. There's perfectly nothing wrong with being a tomboy. It's more fun than being a girly girl 99% of the time anyway, jeez! Hee hee. Thanks for your comment on A Single Tear, too, appreciate it
    Much thanks for sharing

    GREAT

OOOOO... that was a good poem. I feel like this all the time. As if people judge me because I am a female, and I too am a tomboy. Someone thought that I was gay one time because I said I was tomboyish. So totally wrong, but great keep writing!
