Through all the things we try to do today
And from all the things we wish we did yesterday
Comes all the things we plan to do tomorrow
With all the smiles we fake and claim
Towards all the expectations we seek and throw
To the dogs of all the lost dreams we once deampt
In all the beds we had since childhood
Together with all the people we meet
Forge all the love and lies we reiterate
Wagering all we learned and thought to steal
To gamble against all the odds we try to deny
Trying to gain all we sought and wish to obtain
Finding all we tried to hide and run against
Chased us all from the beginning and again
Forcing us to battle and decide
Between all the paths and a future
We'll always be standing before all the doors and choices
Having to choose from all the tomorrows and from the yesterdays
We wonder if all the choices we made today, were the right ones

this had a very wise and experienced tone to it- a different voice than most poems that sets it apart from the rest.
thanks for entering the contest!
