She was sure he'd loved her
Maybe in the distant past
But like the changing seasons,
Nothing was meant to last
It was all over now
Her once bright skin turned grey,
Her heart as cold as metal,
Her free-will thrown away
She was just a puppet
To the love that he'd tossed aside
Tangled in her heart-strings
Erasing memories of all the times she'd cried
For him
For the boy she thought she knew
Plugged into his bright green eyes,
There was nothing she could do
He typed upon his keyboard
Sending her words...beautiful lies
Then he left her hooked on him
With all the life drained from her eyes
