Detour Signs&&Construction Zones

Her words are proving
to be worthless against his heart.
She's not making sense anymore
he doesn't understand
all the walls she's thrown up
or why she put them
back up against him.
She's sliding back to
what she always knew.
She's hitting another
railroad crossing.
Trains are passing at light speed
and she's missing her exit lane
[She'll be going on some new excursions now]

She's driving down highways
to escape everything crashing down on her.
But she's going just as fast
trying to find a new exit ramp
to move around this new detour sign.
Every piece of what was
supposed to be right
is now under severe construction
and if she tries to pass through
it'll be rocky and confusing.
She'll only have to back track
and go around again.
[She doesn't have the time
        to walk away anymore]

She's putting her heart into this
but she's wondering
if it'lll be worth it in the end.
It's only an empty sky
filled with illuminating lights
and cities surrounded by mountains.
Is her heart ready
to take a leap and jump head on.
Fall head over combat boots
[forever in love]with him
[wait baby, she's already there]

But this is his battle to win.
She feels helpless and afraid;
afraid that she'll only get lost
trying to work out all they are.
But baby she's standing in front of him
[asking him to love her]
but does it really mean anything anymore?

[and that's all she has to give]

Author notes

When these three words become routine
that's the end of you and me.

we're not supposed to be together because of too many complications, yet he still loves me. but it feels like it's way too "forbidden" to ever be right.

let me know what you think

    Ouch.
    I can relate though.
I can see every girl driving out on the highway trying to get away.
You're piece is very universal and I like that :]

    Baby, this was amazing.

I feel rubbish. My dad doesn't want me to come to america. He thinks that it's too expensive && that I'm wasting my time.

But you are truly amazing. I might still come over? like holiday? Idk.

Baby, shit. Everything was great, until 10 minutes ago =\

Can I just say that I love this?

    "She's not making sense anymore

I really connect to those lines.
    This is brilliant.
How I love you is never enough because of the emptiness and confusion behind it.
At least that is my outlook on this, I could be totally wrong.

    GREAT WRITE!
Thank thank thank you for entering!
