You are the rock
in my foundation
of clay.
My true love
before I knew of love.
You are my father,
my friend,
my inspiration.
The source of life
and the definition
of me.
You are my beginning
my middle
and the end.
I have imitated
living freely,
coveted
the power within you.
But your strength
is my strength
and I am
a child again
without you.
Please tell me what you think

Stunning
Hey shortyjo. This is a beautiful dedication and I think that you expressed an intimate feeling with heart and soul. Be proud of this!

Great duality here. For the unreligious it can be their relationship to father and for the religious can not only be their birth father but also their spiritual father.
We draw strength from those we have known
but we grow through the power of our own actions
in the applications based, upon those times...
You walked the road till you go
Alone I thought for did not know
That there within my beating chest
Forever still a piece did rest
In times of trouble could recall
to help to build that feeling small
Till once again that road could meet
and with new strength, my feet did seek
Hugs...Eddy

This is such a lovely write. The flow of this was lovely and it was such a pleasure to read. "The source of life and the definition of me". This is such a lovely stanza. Well done.
