Sensual Sonnet~

Missing image
I wish to diagnose a loving dose
Sip hot tea, just you, me, and poetry
Two heavenly hymns, entwined tightly close
Fingertips tap upon piano keys

Petals upon roses, metaphors ring
Caressing your golden, indigo heart
Compassion soars upon this weaver's wings
And your sincere soul is beautiful art

Taste to touch, a rain-dance of romance sways
Through sweet whispers of the winds you bestow
Embrace divine lines, I'll love you always
And I shall promise my soul won't let go

Sip this cup of living waters my dear
And yesterdays sorrows shall disappear

In a list

Show me some love.

Timothy -- I could sit here and type the same ole' comment and albeit that it would be from me -- it's simply isn't in me tonight -- (may be due to intense levels of sun rays that drained my brain and energy today) ...

However, I will proudly tell you that this makes me want to crawl into my bed of satin and read this poem again. So comforting! Absolutely one that makes one melt! Thank you for being you and bringing this masterpiece to life. My pleasure!

    Your friend,
    She-ra

Not only a well written sonnet, to an unknown, but your use of alliteration was splendid. The image I'm saving, as I play the piano and I also love red roses! "Sip this cup of living waters" metaphorically beautiful and sootheing at the same time. Closing lines, hopeful. Anyone wold cherish this poem. Best wishes!

I like this... The sentiment behind it is so loving perhaps not one of your better ones as far as flow...but just a thought how can a heart be golden and indigo?

      Good Question.

A golden heart stands for pure heart.. indigo, a color of blue.. so therefore it's more poetic.. blue heart, can stand for a sad heart.. which I indicate here, and used in this piece. Thanks for reading.
