Time slips away;- through bitter dreams, beyond futile efforts of fettered men throughout history. Marking the moments each one in their place and marching onward and ambling on freely, within the soul of His Majesties benevolent love's serendipitous receptivity;- and gracious embrace. Patiently advancing towards those who would let their bitterness, be free.
For I have come so far through His wisdom and happily now to see. That the true hearts' desire of our Glorious God, the Holy Father, and the one absolute indefatigability that is upheld by Him- for all of His children ... is to bring His children an able freedom and an unequaled and relative and palpable- abiding life filled with goodness and peace, because ultimately the perfect vision of His loving aspiration. For all those who would seek the truer nature of it- in itself.
Is the one generous and honest ... and ever open gesture given in the faithful hope to all as a loving prize in the effort. Yes the one lovesome vision and ever awesome offering of His, that in the end, lays eagerly in the waiting ... and willingly within all of us.
The ever inherent and righteous ability to feel and find;- and share and capture with Him and move to hold up. The true joy and wholesome grace and greater beauty of our life's pride and prime purpose.
The grand opportunity, to come and partake in and rise up and walk boldly in a new innocence together in an unwavering union, and genuine stay of mercy and forgiveness with Him and each other. In a lasting time of true distinction between the kind realities and certain prominence of our needs, in and of ourselves, everyone each in their relevance. That mark the evidence of our finite abilities, and betwixt His simple promise of liberty.
Granted for all in the light of His hope, and perfect love;- and purest sacrifice demonstrated for all of us in the face of His death;- laid down in the free abandon, for our eternal security;- and everlasting serenity.
(~ The Narrow Roads Discerning ~)
~
So
true-
and forever
glorious, and
kindred, is this
wondrous and tender
vision of mine. Living
purely and ever openly,
with God;- striving to be
free;-and certain within me
amid the lowly lavender- and
wheat fields;-taken in- and basking
in the luminance of the Sun, supplicating
mid conciliate winds, and maturing in the
light of the affections, of their love for
Him. For so touched I was by their honest
faithfulness. As teeming I tarried to
view them. While I did amble along amid
the swaying stalks so very felicitous- to
be alive, and as an initiation to my Father.
Upon the soul of the day, I offered again
to Him for His promise culminated for me, my
essence. For Alas my spirit cried out aloud with
them as I marveled in the benignity of my Lord for
imparting to me. The liberal blessing of my life
and giving me His eternal assurances;- and for
delivering me;- and returning me to a veracious
and overt:-and amenable position of hope and faith
in Him. Yes for purging and lifting and empowering;-
and molding and maturing me- and indemnifying me in
His certitude, and enduring graciously, the horrid
penalty- of my willful prides contumacy. For ne'er
to trammel the ambling of my committed volition. In
the greater wisdom and grace of their instruction I
willingly did revolt in sheer defiance before His
tender eyes of mercy. Amid the futile campaign,
of my own bitterness. Distinguishing only those
weary days apart from the welcome- and-honest-fervor,
of His embrace, and so through this detachment, and His
patient hands my heart's longing was brought to know
compassion and to be absolvitory. As able today and
thankful to Him to see. Of the many roads I have
peregrinated down. Illuminated upon this narrow
path, of God's allinclusive way.

truly
discern,")

YIKES, WAYY TO MUCH TO READ!!!!!!
IT LOOKS GREAT, I KINDA SCIMMED IT!

-
Interesting homage to Robert Frost as has already been pointed out. A very well written piece in which the strength of faith literally shines through. Congratulations on your trophy and good luck in your other contests. This is a genuinely uplifting piece for some. Thanks for sharing.
-
I do not believe in the "richness of god" he has kicked me to many times when I am down thus driving me further into the despair I feel. Thank you for sharing this I am glad you can feel it but I just don't
-
Your faith abounds
Jesus; I believe was a little more succinct than your first section with His 'Lord`s Prayer'. Section two;
I believe would have been more effective, had it been in the shape of a cross rather than the commercial fir tree.

-
A rather nice write. You expressed yourself quite well, indeed. Thanks for sharing this one with us. Again, well done.

I'm Speechless James Lee
A beautiful poem. I especially like it that you have used such wonderful expressions as: His patient hands; His tender eyes; His embrace and His etrnal assurance. Great job. keep up your good writing and thank you for sharing this with me......Katie

Great rewrite my friend. I know I have had a few times when I strayed in the wrong direction and then I would feel Him tapping in some way upon my shoulder. Usually by sending someone into my life to lead me back to Hos loving arms. God has blessed me in that way many times. This was very uplifting to read. With God there is ALWAYS hope!!! My one dear friend always reminds me, If I don't feel close to God, He is not the one who moved.

You take care. This was very heartfelt.
Bless You,
Sandy

I just re-read this after looking at your page and it now makes a lot more sense! I really like this, even more now
-
I like very much. I find it a little lofty, and I would prefer to read your style, rather than Frost's. Still, very enjoyable and clever.
Thank you very much. Ladame

There's this quote...
"Never use a big word where a diminitive one will suffice." Lol. But I liked this poem quite a bit. It reminded me of this song by the band Red called Breathe Into Me, and although I'm sure it wasn't intended to be religious, it came off sounding that way, which I thought was pretty cool. -
You are incredible
This gift you have... AMAZING. Are you by chance published ? You have a way of expressing your words like a true poet laureate. Honored to float in your circle. Warmly, Chrissy
P.S.May i make a personal suggestion w/o offending?
I found the colors you chose difficult to read which distracted me until i could adjust, probably just these old lady's eyes though. TX for understanding (in advance) he-hee. Chrissy

while i did very much enjoy this piece, for it carried a wonderful message, i cannot help but feel a bit of arrogance in it. I don't know why, i don't know where, but i've read it three times and it just reads arrogance to me. I'm sorry, i don't think for a second that it is intended. For some reason, i just pick up that undertone. It may be that it has been posted soooo many times in other contests, but it is a beautiful poem. I'll try reading it another time to see if i still get the same feeling.
Otherwise, despite my anti-christian conontation, i do love this poem. It is beautiful, and i love how you so willingly embrace your dependence of God. It isn't often that people write with their hearts. You have no inhibitions and that is what makes this peom so beautiful.

-
wise words and it is indeed a narrow path that leads to God's embrace.
I do love this structure
very creative
an excellent write.
God bless

-
Deeply Spiritual
I can appreciate a poet who is willing and courageous enough to bear his soul and express vulnerability and dependence upon God. The poem is brilliant. There are some words I still need to explore to get the full picture but I enjoyed the visual and spiritual aesthetics. Thank you!

Nicely penned. Compelling distinct, bears re-reading to get more layers. The work flow in poetic form and lets the reader absorb direction along the path. I find the read enjoyable and well worth honorable winnner.

Hello,
I like the tree image - to my eyes, this is a tree in blossom. hmmmm, as for the content - yes, I keep in mind The Road Not Taken. Is it only my opinion that the poetic persona of your poem has already made a decision long ago? It seems that this persona has been always standing in front of this fruitful tree but that he has realized it only a short while ago. I like the calm tone of the poem and your proccupation with life.

You are such a wonderfully spiritual writer James. As I have mentioned before I'm not a highly religious person but I am very spiritual and can't help coming back to read more. Each time I am left feeling peaceful as a result of your uplifting, smooth writing style. A great message here. You write from your heart and I love that. Keep writing poet!

This type of poetry does not speak to me, but I applaud the manner in which it was written. The shape is beautiful. As an English teacher I found that the sentence structure and punctuation were odd (As Able Today and Thankful to Him to See.
Of the many roads I have peregrinated.) Good luck in your contests. Peace, Liz -
The form is pleasing to the eye, and the message soothing to the soul. Bitterness in the face of mercy is futile indeed! Thanks for sharing this piece!

Im at a loss for words. This truly is a touching poem and its uniqueness is one to be admired.
-
Hi James,
Another of your deeply thoughtful and inspiring poems, I see.
You’ve done a lovely job with the tree shape, and I like that it gives some imagery to your poem even if it isn’t within the words themselves. As you’ve maybe figured by now, I’m a stickler when it comes to good imagery in poetry.
I just believe a reader will connect more easily to a poem and its message when combined with concrete pictures to relate to.
There are a lot of things I like about this poem, and really only 1 thing that concerns me even a little. It’s impossible for me to guess what your vocabulary is in normal, everyday speaking, but unless this is truly how you talk on a day to day basis, I’d caution you on using so many uncommon words. Why is “peregrinated” better than “traveled”, for example? Your poem is filled with a lot of abstract ideas already, so the more complicated words you use, the easier you’re going to lose readers. I always loved using a thesaurus when I was in college, but my professors hammered one of the main rules of writing into my head: “Never use a big word when a simpler one will do. “ So, unless you’re looking to avoid repetition, try to keep the big (though admittedly interesting) words to a minimum.
I’m pleasantly surprised that your flow is as good as it is, considering the awkward line breaks in order to achieve your tree shape, so great job on that!
I actually found most of your poem easy to understand and relate to, and think you’ve done a beautiful job.
Thanks so much for sharing this with me, and good luck in any/all contests you have it in.
Best wishes,
~J.

Beautiful formation of the tree! I've been shaping a little also in some of mine, so I can really appreciate this one. The poem itself is obviously densely rich with great sentiment, I think to be congratulated. All runs very well with me... as it's now 4 am with no sleep yet, I'm gonna have to come back for a more deserving appraisal. Which I will do...
Though I can feel it's a great write already!

Very Spiritually Inspiring............
to walk with our creator and the different roads and paths we take. WIth God, the roads are always left open so that we may conitinue the path he has paved for so many of us in so many different directions until his coming back. Then the roads will no longer be open for us but to the ones left behind he will still offer up those road for the feww who will find him and accept.....Just another beautiful piece of poetry and the wods flow so smoothly into place !!!~~Toni~~

Very good job thus far. I hope I come back to read it when you are finished writing it. Good luck in the contest.
