With Time...

Nothing has eternity
everything is touched by time
it builds and it grows
and it crumbles and it falls

a flower
grows from a seed
into this beautiful object of color
then it wilts and it dies

just like my heart
you walked into my life
bringing happiness and beauty
and a smile to my face

and with time
my heart began to beat for you
my entire life revolved around yo u
and without you i would be lost

and with time
and with all the lies
you began to break my heart
and to tear my world apart

and as i grow older with you
my heart breaks down and dies
with an emotion as old as time
with love, branded and scarred

An awesome piece hunni, has a hint of sadness about it that's hard to describe. Almost haunting...divine read! Good luck

It's amazing what time will do, isn't it? And it never ends. It stretches on and on, and yet at times, it feels like it's just begun. I love what you did with the prompt, and all of you are making this contest soooo hard to judge.
    Good job!

this poem blooms, but it will
not die...words live on and on.
A very bittersweet piece of work -
I wish you well in the contest.
