Dear Dad

Dear Dad,
Everything wasn't lost that day,
your resolve helped us survive
Your strength during your struggle,
the sweetness alongside the shadow,
and the quiet heroism of your goodbye

Author notes

My Dad died (at home) from cancer.
I just wanted to tell him
how proud I was/am...

A beautiful write, heartfelt and poignant. Deep expression of emotion. Deep expression of emotion. A moving tribute to your father. I can relate. My father died at home from cancer. Well penned. Thank you for sharing. Best wishes in the contest.

A good poem, my friend - one i can personally relate to. I know he is smiling from above...
