The First Drop of Rain

The first moment I knew

I fell in love with you

was when the first drop of rain

soaked my skin and flooded my heart

passion was flowing like a river

throughout my body

knowing it would be your lips

along with your sweet touch

that would render my soul

to eventually know true love

Author notes

Written in a wonderful emotional state (after watching a chic-flick (girly feel good movie-lol)) at 3:29am (28MAR2008) as it began to rain.


Sorry I have not been here in awhile. Had planned to be here Easter, but my car broke down Saturday as I was out of town and could not get back in time. Been spending alot of time doing my physical therapy and other things that have kept me busy. Not to mention when I did try to log in here, Comcast and/or my computer was being stpid and didn't let t happen.

    This is beautiful. I loved the metaphor of rain with this piece: it was not cliche, rather it was refreshing and unique. It added a nice touch to it. Thanks for your entry. Good luck!

    Aww this is a sweet one Don't you love the writes that result during a peak of emotion. Beautifully written and I am very sorry it took me so long to log on. Life is pretty hectic right now, I try to log on as much as I can It was nice to log on to such a loving poem! Thank you for that
