Picture for me a beautiful scene of a couple,
Meeting for the very first time.
A moment that was not supposed to be,
Happened at first sight, before our very own eyes.
A door that was supposed to be locked up
Was opened wide, letting love come break in...
I thank God for that night
Meeting the adoration of my dreams,
The best friend I will forever have.
Cherishing every memory spent,
For the past three years with you.
Full of pure reality,
From happiness to pain;
Everywhere in between I never regret.
It will forever and a day be you and me.
I pray to God,
That this is forever and always how it will be.
Sharing the love and pure bliss we have created,
Blocking out false hopes,
And everything wrong in this world we don't need.
'Till this day I have not forgotten
The beauty of that moment’s simplicity,
Even though it was hiding in the strangest shapes and forms,
It was there, and it was meant just for you and me.
A love to share,
Forever together.

A poem to my boyfriend. Soon will mark our 3 year anniversary, it's a crazy anticipating feeling and exciting. :-)

I really was captured by the locked door bursting open with love, it was a great visual, but then you carried on to get too personal. It takes away from the ability to relate to the poem. It would make an incredible poem to give to your boyfriend, and it is no doubt well-written, but you focused more on your feelings towards him than capturing your audience. Congratulations though! And a good poem, thank you.
