The dark is quiet, just as the full mon is bright
The woods are asleep, but I feel there is movement
Whispers move in and out of the trees, trying to find its destiny
It feels like one whisper is looking for me, something god like
Dancing under the moon light, seeking for my existence
It's making sure that I'm alive, wandering this dead earth
Shock arose through my body, at the thought of being wanted
Impossible
As I watch the moon sink behind the horizon, and the sun rise in the east, I get a hint that my night whisperer has gone to hide
And as I lay here on my bed, the whisper came back, but so very faint
My room had another lost soul in it, and it was watching my every movement, waiting for me to whisper back
I felt eyes on me as I spent my day in my room, night falls once more making the whispers come to life.
The moon rose again, my whisperer came back, louder then the night before
The dark was quite, just as the full moon was bright
The silence is broken, by a lost soul at night, wanting my whispers in return

This is a wonderful piece. You have captured such desire and sadness without being cheesy (a feat not easy to do.) I like this interpretation very much. Love is nice to read, but it is rare to hear about the "hit and miss" times, when what you want is continually out of your grasp. Well done, poet. Good luck in the contest.
