It's just so amazing-
the results of crash & collision
unbound,
almost like rainbow tears
cascading down geisha cheeks,
like a melody without words.
I chew and swallow the lies,
they taste like cough drops
but with a sandpaper twist.
We see the same thing each day
and it never seems to grow old
- but we do.
Each and every moment
is a lifetime between parted lips
and silent chaos.
I suffer
...therefore I am.

darn, im soo glad i went through the poems in my contest to make sure i had commented on all of them. i had written a lovely comment on this one, and it seems to have been lost in the underworld of the net.
this is a beauitiful and simple poem, it makes you think of life and all the chaos and serendipity that comes with it. a powerful and lovely write, thank you.

This is really a good job ...
and that despite the fact that I am not a big fan of free verse. There's a bit too much space between "chaos" and "I suffer", but otherwise, this is literally perfect (for what it is).

It's really good... vivid... emotional... I love it.

I enjoyed the visual of a cough drop with a sandpaper twist, that was a good metaphor.
