Too Late the Wisdom

Recalling days of yesteryear
We came, we saw, we cried
The foolish face of innocence
We laughed, we loved, we lied

A game we thought, but like as not
more deadly than the knife
A mortal mix of hidden tricks
that steals away your life.

I've seen the mighty and the meek
the sturdy and the blind
The souls who've asked for nothing more
than simple peace of mind

And all as one when life is done
have fallen by the way
To darkest graves where nothing saves
when came their time to pay.

So now in throes of afterthoughts
What if's and might have been's
I pray there was some good in me
to counter all my sins

Yet fear my page was read in rage
A wasted life of lies
And Satan rules the fate of fools
when God has dimmed their eyes.

I know it's just a poem, but none the less it may needs be said. As Jesus said;' Ye believe in God, believe also in me.' ,If thou cannest believe; all things are possible to them who believe.'

and if the son shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.for he shall not remember the formor days. for old things are wiped away and all things have become new in those in Christ.

    's for you today.
