The days creep closer as I try
to ignore their insistance
to acknowledge the day that approaches
when my heart breaks
child mine to flee the nest
once seemed so far away
now the time speeds like a demon
racing an arrow into me
tears that threaten to spring free
a torrent in the making
determined not to let him see
praying restraint 'till he's out of sight
Knowledge of the time to come
seems to increase the pain inflicted
dread almost overwhelming
battling with pride in him

Just a venting of my impending sadness, as the time comes closer with fearful speed! June 9th YIKES!!!! Any one got a time-slowing spell?
